Decorative, Elastomeric and UV Resistance Waterproofing Coating
Estoflex Dymeric is a single component water borne, high solids, acrylic copolymer waterproof membrane which offers excellent sunlight and UV resistance. Estoflex Dymeric maybe applied over a wide range of construction materials by brush, roller or airless spray.
Estoflex Dymeric has been tested by SIRIM BHD, in accordance to BS 1881 Part 122 : 1983, on Water Absorption Test and complied with the specification in this data sheet.
As a sunlight exposed waterproofing membrane for decks, balconies, corrugated metal roofs, concrete roofs and gutters. On roofs and balconies, Estoflex Dymeric provides a durable, slip resistant, waterproof finish which will accept regular foot traffic.
Estoflex Dymeric is suitable for application to many common substrates including concrete, fibrous cement products, timber with priming required on most substrates.

In waterproofing application, Estoflex Dymeric is designed to be applied by brush, roller or airless spray over the appropriate primer, to achieve a total dry film thickness of not less than 700 microns in three or more coats.
Where so designated on the surfaces shall be waterproofed with high performance, UV resistant, acrylic high build waterproofing membrane. The membrane may be reinforced with a non woven polyester fabric, if required, and applied with a minimum 3 coats to achieve a total minimum dry film thickness of 700 microns.
All surfaces should be generally sound and clean. Cracks and joints should be cleaned and filled with Estoflex Dymeric separately, allowing drying. Larger cracks should be chased out to at least 10 mm wide and repaired with Estop joint sealing compounds such as Estojoint or Estolastic.
Base screed with minimum gradient of 1:120, to receive Estoflex Dymeric, shall be laid if the floor is uneven and without required gradient, to achieve better waterproofing performance.
For steel substrates, it is ideally to blast cleaning to SA2½ standard. Clean the metal surfaces and scrape off the flaking paint and any loose materials before application of Estoflex Dymeric.
The cleaned surface shall be primed by brushing the surface with 1 part Estoflex Dymeric mix with 1 part of clean water and then apply directly to the surface to be waterproofed, in order to improve the bonding. Allow primer coat to dry. The priming coat shall be extended at least 240mm up to all parapet walls.
Estoflex Dymeric is recommended to apply at least 3 coats. Apply the first coat of Estoflex Dymeric on the substrate surface. Leave for dry for approximately 2 – 6 hours depend on application thickness, temperature and humidity condition. Estoflex Dymeric can be installed with conventional airless spray equipment, brush or roller.
Incorporate a layer of Estop Fiberglass where necessary. Estoflex Dymeric is very effective when sandwiched with Estop fibreglass to repair leaky gutters, down spouts, etc. to bridge cracks; corrosion etc. providing the damage is not too extensive. Do not pour surplus materials down drain, wash all brushes immediately or keep immersed in water.

Estop offers a comprehensive technical support, including help at the design stage, application advice and on the site problem solving. Specifiers and contractors are encouraged to contact our trained staff for answers to their questions.
Storage must be carefully controlled as all latex systems may coagulate (solidify with long periods of storage) in high temperatures. Store in shade under warehouse conditions and keep away from sources of heat.
Estoflex Dymeric has a minimum shelf life of 12 months. Shelf life may reduce if stored in extreme heat condition.
Estoflex Dymeric should not be swallowed or in contact with skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective gloves and goggles.
Splashes on the skin should be removed with water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed seek medical attention immediately – do not induce vomiting.
Estop also offers various types of waterproofing systems, which include self-adhesive, and torched-on membranes, polymer modified cementitious coatings, liquid applied coatings and rubberized bituminous emulsions etc.
