Estoprime PU T117
Polyurethane Based Primer
Estoprime PU T117 is a one component low viscosity polyurethane fluid that cures with the humidity in the atmosphere. It is especially designed to enhance the adhesion of polyuria or polyurethane high solids products on porous substrates.
|Cold resistance||‘- 40 °C|
|Specific Gravity||Approx. 0.98|
|Drying Time (25°C)||40 mins|
The relevant data sheet for the product overlay must be read before applying the primer. This gives full details for applying the complete system.
It is essential that the priming system is applied to a sound, clean, dry substrate in order to achieve the maximum adhesive bond and long term durability.
Allow the concrete floor to cure for at least 28 days old and give a hygrometer reading not exceeding RH 75% when tested in accordance with BS 8203. Appendix A. Dry removal of laitence by captive blasting or mechanical scarification (for toppings and screeds) is recommended. Where this is not feasible, treat with acid etch product, followed by thorough rinsing with water and complete drying. Dust and other debris should then be removed by vacuum brush.
A sound, clean substrate is essential to achieve maximum adhesion. Preparation should be carried out as for old concrete floors. Oil and grease penetration should be removed by hot compressed air treatment.
Premix the Estoprime PU T117 before use with slow speed mixer or rod.
Apply 0.2 ~ 0.3 kg/m2 Estoprime PU T117 with roller, spray or brush.
If the primer is left for longer than the maximum over-coating time of 24 hours at 20oC (12 hours at 30oC) the substrate must be abraded, solvent degreased and re-primed. If the primer is being overlaid with a trowel-applied screed, this screed should be applied while the product is still tacky.
This is to ensure that there is sufficient resistance to the trowel and the screed does not skid over the floor surface.
Be careful of absorption and fire since contains a solvent Seal up in stock since reaction to moisture in air
|Estoprime PU T117||17 kg / can|
|Estoprime PU T117||0.2 ~ 0.3 kg/m2|
The coverage figures given are theoretical – due to wastage factors and the variety and nature of possible substrates, practical coverage figures will be reduced. Typically, an additional 10% should be allowed.
Estop offers a technical support package to specifiers, end- users and contractors, as well as on-site technical assistance.
