Estotect E250 is an epoxy based, high gloss non-toxic coating based coating containing pigments and fine fillers. It is versatile and durable coating with excellent use for anti-corrosion as well as potable water lining for tanks and pipes.
It is supplied as a two-pack material in pre-weighed quantities ready for on-site mixing and use. The solvent free amine cured glass flakes epoxy system is suitable for lining raw water, sea water and also a wide range of chemicals.

All surfaces must be clean and free from dust or loose material. Wet substrates should be sponge-dried to remove all free surface water.
Concrete surfaces: Should be sand blasted, water jet blasted or wire brushed.
Steel surfaces: Should be grit blasted to SA2½ or wire brushed to remove all mill scale and rust.
Running water must be stopped during the application and curing period. Where excessive seepage of leaks occurs consult the technical department.
The contents of the base should be stirred thoroughly to disperse any settlement.
The entire contents of the hardener should be poured into the base container and the two materials mixed thoroughly until a uniform consistency is obtained.
It is recommended that mechanical mixing is employed, using a stirrer on a heavy duty slow speed electric drill.
Apply material with a brush or roller. The first coat must be firmly applied and be well scrubbed into the surface; ensuring a continuous coating of uniform thickness.
The second coat will cover more readily than the first and should be applied 16 hours later, at 30°C.
Faster rates of application are possible using airless spray equipment. A minimum nozzle pressure of 2,000 psi (140 bar) with an orifice size of 0.65 mm (0.026 inch) has been found suitable.
For application in enclosed area, provide sufficient ventilation to ensure no entrapment of solvent vapour that might cause explosion.

Avoid skin contact. Wear suitable gloves and apply cream barrier.
